Firefighters Suspended For Allegedly Filming Porn In Fire Station

It’s getting hot in Akron, Ohio’s local fire station, where two firefighters are now suspended for allegedly filming porn. Arthur Dean and Deann Eller have been on paid leave since uploading proof of their fiery love life on the internet. The Akron mayor and Fire Chief released a joint statement denouncing the porn, saying “These allegations bring unwelcome dishonor and embarrassment to Akron Fire Department and the City of Akron and unfairly discredit the reputation of other Akron Fire officers.” There is currently an investigation to determine the “appropriate action.” The X-rated firefighters now in hot water were hired on the same day in September 2000, and have been with the fire department for 18 years.

BaDoinkVR, one of the largest VR porn companies, has partnered with a neuroscience research firm to study the impact virtual reality porn has on the brain. The VR porn company wants to find out not only what consumers want from their porn, but also how the brain responds to what it’s seeing. “We [BadoinkVR and I] started discussing how they keep track of what the consumers want and to what extent you can believe what they say [they want],” says a neuro-analyst at Neurons.

They conducted experiments on men who watched both 2D and 3D porn and then gathered data on three different measurements, including arousal, motivation, and cognitive load, or the amount of work the brain is doing while watching porn. Researchers found that VR porn increased the average cognitive load across the board, which means the participants were actually more “immersed” and “positively engaged” in the adult content than with regular porn. But interestingly, the most important thing—arousal—was the same with both kinds of porn. Perhaps this experiment proves another point: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?

“Videos usually open with budget diamond adverts but then after a few minutes suddenly cut to shaky close-ups of of scantily-clad women stimulating themselves,” reports Daily Mail. In one video that’s been watched more than 10,000 times, a woman washed herself and dressed up in an erotic nurse’s costume. Another video was watched nearly 4,000 times and showed 1.5 hours of soft-porn with several different semi-naked women in various erotic poses. Sorry, YouTube, but when it comes to porn, you’re fighting a losing battle.
