NJ Judge Legally Recognizes ‘Friends With Benefits’ Protections

A judge gave good news to booty callers everywhere. New Jersey’s US District Judge Susan D. Wigenton has legally recognized “friends with benefits,” ruling they fall under Fourth Amendment protection after a man was arrested at the home of his mistress. The Fourth Amendment prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets requirements for issuing warrants.

According to the legal docs, the man was yanked from bed in the home of a woman he had casual sex with. The man arrived at his hook-up’s home for sex early in the morning and police arrived a few hours later—allegedly arresting the man in his underwear, without a warrant to search the home. The judge made her landmark ruling, agreeing with the defense that the man’s “home” extended to the home of his friends with benefits and that his lawyers have grounds to challenge the seizure.

UK Gives The Green Light For Hook Ups And Casual Sex

Boris Johnson has good news for horny Britons: casual sex will be allowed again for the first time this year. As part of the government’s latest lifting of lockdown measures, singles will be able to “socialize” indoors—i.e., meet up for sex. Even though older people have great sex, they are often excluded from sexual narratives. A new photography campaign is aiming to celebrate and dismantle the stigma of sex-after-a-certain-age. Five older couples were photographed by a world-renowned British photographer for the campaign, called Let’s Talk The Joy of Later Life Sex. By talking about sex and intimacy for people over the age of 60, the campaign aims to challenge the idea that older people can’t and wouldn’t want to have sex.

Two thirds of polled over-65s say sex and intimacy for their age group is rarely or never represented in the media. “In reality, ‘sex and intimacy in later life’ means different things to different people: for some it’s about exploring new and different sexual experiences, and for others it’s simply about feeling able to express emotion through a gentle touch or kiss on the cheek,” a sex therapist involved in the campaign explained. They added that the campaign is trying to open up a societal conversation about the fact that sex and intimacy, in all its forms, “can be as important for older people as it is for anyone else.”
