Letterboxd is adding a very naughty feature to its popular film review platform: XXX. The app will soon include erotic cinema, beginning with a “curated selection” of adult films. Replying to a question on Twitter, Letterboxd confirmed that a curated selection of adult movies will soon be added to its massive library. Right now, X-rated images are often pixellated on the site, but users will apparently have the option to un-pixellate adult movie posters if they wish. Letterboxd’s list of adult movies probably won’t include contemporary porn, but will focus more on “Golden Age of Porn” films that were intended for cinematic release, and are considered to have serious cultural merit.

Bollywood Star Arrested For Illegal Porn Possession In India

Police have seized 48 terabytes of mostly adult images and videos in a raid on Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty’s home as part of a probe into her husband’s alleged connections to illegal porn films. The star’s husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested recently in Mumbai by police who said they have “sufficient evidence” that he is a “key conspirator” in a porn production ring. Shetty told police during questioning she believed her husband was innocent, and claimed his brother-in-law was the one involved with mobile app “HotShots,” which allegedly streamed pornographic content.

She said she was “unaware of the exact nature of the content” on the app, but described it as “erotica” rather than pornography. Publishing or transmitting “obscene” material is illegal in India under a 2015 law and punishable by up to seven years in jail. Police are now investigating whether Shetty benefitted from her husband’s alleged links to the pornographic film business as part of her position as director of his firm, which she recently resigned from.
