Q. Why do you think phone sex has held steady?
A. I think there are two reasons. First, a lot of people still want the nostalgia of phone sex. They remember the naughty feeling of 1 900 ads they got late at night, and it was almost taboo to finally be able to call those phone lines. There is something still very sensual about hearing a voice on the other side and having them be anything you imagine in your mind.
In this day and age, people are craving human connection more than ever. Performers do not just provide a fantasy, they provide someone to talk to. Someone to connect with. That is why people of all ages are still calling.
Q. Have you changed your approach to phone sex over the years? Are people wanting different things now than they were in the past?
A. Very much so. My approach has changed with a shifting market. People want more than just a voice on the other end now. They want access to webcam, custom videos, video clips, audio clips, and pictures. In order to stay ahead, I keep up with the market and provide what is trending.
Fantasies and fetishes have not changed much, but some things go up and down. Some fetishes trend high and then go to nothing, and you have to adapt to what people are into.
Q. How do you keep things fresh and keep clients interested?
A. Market research. If you are not able to treat this like a business, you are going to fail. Being able to do market research, follow trends, and know what is working for every platform is going to keep you making money.
