True Story Behind Lesbian Nun Thriller ‘Benedetta’

Directed by legendary filmmaker Paul Verhoeven, “Benedetta” tells the story of Sister Benedetta Carlini, a 17th century Italian nun who has a forbidden lesbian affair, while claiming to have erotic visions of Jesus.
