It is time

It is time to commit yourself to service of the Goddess, the Goddess that is woman. You begin the tortuous path, climbing up the wet stairs. You look back, down.

You turn back around, dizzy. You know that your service to the Goddess is coming to fruition. You are awed, and you are proud.

As you walk along the path, everything you see reminds of the pride you take in seeing your Goddess happy and knowing that it was your gift that made her so. You come to the bells, and you ring them.

You pass the terrace where the bronze statue of the Goddess hovers magically in a portico. You kneel before it and wonder that such a pathetic wretch as you can find such fulfillment in such a simple thing as serving your Goddess. After all your worship and arduous practice, your quest is almost complete.

You approach the temple. It is final. You will tithe to the Goddess. You have no desire to turn back. You know when you enter, you will become a slave, and your soul will be set free.
