The group of lovers, based outside of Boston, consists of couples and individuals including \u201cheteroflexible\u201d men, queer women and nonbinary individuals. \u201cIt\u2019s chosen family \u2026 just a little kinkier,\u201d a member of the \u201cpolycule\u201d said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPolycule\u201d is a subset of polyamory used to describe \u201can intricate structure formed of people with overlapping deep attachments: romantic, sexual, sensual, platonic.\u201d \u201cOur polycule is female-run,\u201d the member explained, adding \u201cIt\u2019s the female-identified people who spearhead. We convene, we plan, we call the shots. It\u2019s a bunch of queer women who say, \u2018We\u2019re not going to follow the rules.&#8217;\u201d She revealed: \u201cMy husband, my nesting partner, is the person I own a home with. I also have life-partnership friends, I call them my wives, who are core members in the polycule. One of their husbands is one of my best friends and occasional sexual partner, and I do have sex with my wives, but we\u2019re not romantically involved.
