When asked recently by a journalist whether there was any truth to the \u201cHappy Days\u201d\u00a0alum crossing over to the adult film industry, Ron laughed but admitted, \u201cWell, it\u2019s true that it went through my mind.\u201d In the 1970s, Howard\u00a0entertained directing\u00a0a cheekily-titled skin flick, \u201cOpie Gets Laid,\u201d in which the main character\u2019s first name would mirror the one from Ron\u2019s more innocent days on the 1960s sitcom \u201cThe Andy Griffith Show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, \u2018Opie Gets Laid\u2019 would have probably made Ron a million dollars and he could have gone off and made a movie, but I\u2019m glad he steered away from that because I don\u2019t think anyone really wanted to see Opie get laid,\u201d quipped his brother, actor Clint Howard. His daughter added, \u201cA lot of times in life, I\u2019ll think about the fact that my dad has a public profile that isn\u2019t embarrassing.
