A new study proves more women than men enjoy watching “aggressive” porn\u2014dispelling myths about what each gender likes when it comes to XXX. The study<\/a>, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, found that \u201cthose who did say that they enjoyed displays of aggression, including rougher aggression, somewhat surprisingly women were a majority.\u201d One of the study’s researchers explained, \u201cWomen were more likely to report being aroused by aggression, actively seeking aggression and wanting to see more aggression in mainstream pornography.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After exploring 122 anonymous porn users’ preferences, the study found over half of all viewers, 53%, liked at least a little bit of aggression in porn\u2014breaking down to 66% of women and 40% of men. Women, too, were more likely to go for \u201charder\u201d expressions of aggression in porn and to seek it more than men, with themes such as bondage, discipline, dominance, submission and sadomasochism. \u201cVery little attention has been given \u2026 to female viewers, their preferences and their desires,\u201d a researcher said<\/a>. \u201cI noticed that much of the literature talked about aggression in mainstream pornography as a growing phenomenon (my findings show that this is not the case), claiming that this is driven by men\u2019s desires for domination over women.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
