Former Chicago Cubs baseball star Ben Zobrist<\/a> is seeking millions in damages after accusing his former minister of having an affair with his wife. According to a bombshell lawsuit filed in Nashville Circuit Court, the 2016 World Series MVP is seeking $6 million in punitive and compensatory damages against the pastor at a Nashville church that the couple attended. While serving as a premarital counselor to the couple, the pastor \u201cused his access as counselor to engage in an inappropriate sexual relationship with the plaintiff\u2019s wife,\u201d the complaint says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complaint adds the couple\u2019s now former pastor allegedly began having calls \u201con a daily basis<\/a>\u201d with Zobrist’s wife, and the \u201cromantic involvement with Ms. Zobrist escalated in the spring of 2019, when he began meeting her for sex.\u201d The baseball star claims he \u201cforfeited months of the 2019 season,\u201d causing him to lose approximately $8 million in income as he tried to rescue his crumbling marriage. Ben and Julianna Zobrist each filed for divorce in May 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
