New Jersey\u2019s US District Judge Susan D. Wigenton has legally recognized \u201cfriends with benefits,\u201d ruling they fall under Fourth Amendment protection after a man was arrested at the home of his mistress. <a href=\"https:\/\/fourthamendment.com\/?p=48434\">The Fourth Amendment<\/a> prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets requirements for issuing\u00a0warrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the legal docs, the man was yanked from bed in the home of a woman he had casual sex with. The man arrived at his hook-up&#8217;s home for sex early in the morning and police arrived a few hours later\u2014allegedly arresting the man in his underwear, without a warrant to search the home. The judge made her <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/05\/20\/nj-judge-legally-recognizes-friends-with-benefits\/\">landmark ruling<\/a>, agreeing with the defense that the man&#8217;s \u201chome\u201d extended to the home of his friends with benefits and that his lawyers have grounds to challenge the seizure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for some casual fun?
