Half of Americans have a kink they\u2019d like to try with their partner \u2014 but haven\u2019t brought it up, according to new research. A survey of 2,000 sexually-active Americans<\/a> found it takes the average respondent a little over three months to feel comfortable bringing up a personal sexual interest to their partner. Results found 40 percent haven\u2019t brought their kink up because they\u2019re worried their partner will leave, while the same number are worried about being judged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conducted by OnePoll<\/a> on behalf of a sex-positive lingerie brand, the survey delved into respondents\u2019 \u201csexplorations\u201d and how comfortable respondents feel with their partner. When partners are comfortable expressing their own needs, it leads to better sex \u2014 according to 90 percent of respondents. \u201cWe believe that speaking up for oneself and one\u2019s pleasure is important.\u201d said the CEO of the lingerie brand. \u201cA satisfying sex life has benefits on one\u2019s overall stress and attitude.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
