But the same isn&#8217;t true for men, who do not lose sexual interest over time.<\/p>\n<p>The study, made by Southerampton University and based on 11,508 participants, found that women are especially disinterested in sex if they have \u201cdifferent sexual preferences to that of their partner.\u201d This means that for women, the quality of their relationship and communication with their partner is very important to whether or not they want to get it on. \u201cIt highlights the need to assess and &#8211; if necessary &#8211; treat sexual interest problems in a holistic and relationship, as well as gender-specific, way,\u201d researchers explain.
