They call themselves \u201cecosexuals\u201d and they believe that by literally having sex with the earth, they can combat climate change.<\/p>\n<p>In a piece on ecosexuality in Vice, a professor studying the movement describes it this way: \u201cOn one end, it encompasses people who try to use sustainable sex products, or who enjoy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niteflirt.com\/goody\/search?text=skinny%20dipping\">skinny-dipping<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niteflirt.com\/goody\/search?text=naked\">naked<\/a> hiking. On the other are &#8216;people who roll around in the dirt having an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niteflirt.com\/goody\/search?text=orgasm\">orgasm<\/a> covered in potting soil.&#8217; There are people who fuck trees, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niteflirt.com\/search?advanced_search=&amp;text=masterbation&amp;category_id=839&amp;filters%5B%5D=price_0&amp;filters%5B%5D=price_1&amp;filters%5B%5D=price_2&amp;filters%5B%5D=price_3&amp;filters%5B%5D=price_4&amp;sort=1&amp;format=html\">masturbate<\/a> under a waterfall,&#8221; she said. The movement&#8217;s growing prominence can be attributed to Bay Area performance artists Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens, who published an \u201cecosex manifesto,\u201d made several films and documentaries about the \u201cpollen-amorous\u201d lifestyle, and even officiate weddings in which fellow ecosexuals marry the earth, the moon, and other natural entities. Lately, they&#8217;ve been pushing to add an \u201cE\u201d to the end of LGBTQI acronym in an attempt to re-conceptualize the way we look at the earth, from seeing the planet as a mother to seeing it as a lover.
