Serious Girlfriend Material

I'm very much the quirky, clumsy, witty gal from the Hallmark Movie Romantic Comedies who always manages to melt the heart of the dashing male lead, while simultaneously frustrating the hell out of him with her stubborn independence. Somewhere over the past decade, I neglected to reaffirm to myself that I'm firmly in my thirties. I've always been a bit wise beyond my years, yet I still feel that, romantically, I'm a twenty-something starry eyed hopeful searching for: Is kink depraved or just repressed healthy sexuality? Are cold drinks superior to hot ones? I can be any combination of witty, soft, pragmatic, blunt, empathic, flirty, dirty, and/or sweet all at once. It might sometimes overwhelm you, but will always be worth the effort to peel the layers away. Through all of that, the ultimate goal, of course, is that I'll be the first thing you think of in the morning and the reason for the smile plastered across your face just before you drift to sleep at night. I suspect you've had a couple of first dates that didn't end up in a lasting relationship. I prefer to avoid that to any extent, but it's inevitable that there MIGHT not be a spark between us. Regret and resentment aren't necessary here. I don't cherish men who persist that they're entitled to my affection. I'm sure you'd rather move along to someone who fulfills you than to go through the motions with someone who can barely tolerate you. *smirk* Should we hit it off, mutually, reciprocally, you may not ever be the same. You may just experience intimacy and enlightenment like never before. What do you think? Should we give it a go? If you take the leap, and you enjoyed your time, gifts, while never expected, are truly appreciated. |
